The Mid-Missouri Chapter of the American Red cross has
been serving the region since 1917, and continues its mission thanks to the generosity of our volunteers and donors. We serve Boone, Cooper, Howard, Randolph, Saline, Chariton, and Carroll counties.

The National Red Cross was established more than a century ago by an act of Congress to provide aid to the wounded and sick in times of war. Through the years this service has expanded to provide emergency services to military families, relief
in times of natural disasters and health and safety education.

What we do

First Aid and CPR training

We offer courses in basic First Aid and CPR for both adults and children. Each year more than 7,000 people in Mid-Missouri enroll in these courses.

Service to Military Families

Since its inception the Red Cross has served the members of the armed services and their families. This service includes emergency communication, financial assistance, transportation assistance and emergency loans. We are here to serve those who serve our country.

Fire Assistance

The Red Cross responds to more than 2,100 home fires each year across Missouri. That's nearly six each day. We offer immediate help in the form of shelter, food, clothing and essential medications. In the recovery process we offer referrals for bedding, kitchen utensils and other items a family may need to get back on their feet.

Water Safety

Courses in water safety and lifeguard instruction are offered to 5,000 students annually in Mid-Missouri.

Natural Disasters

We train and coordinate the efforts of over 2,000 volunteers a year for service in our country and around the world. At a moments notice, they stand ready to respond with food, medical attention and support.
