Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Sales

AEDSudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death in the United States, claiming more than 300,000 lives each year. When SCA strikes, seconds mean the difference between life and death. With each minute of elapsed time before defibrillation, the survival rate of the victim diminishes by approximately 10 percent.

Now, with the latest generation of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and training from your American Red Cross, employees will be prepared to increase the odds of survival if SCA strikes a co-worker, customer or anyone else visiting your facility.

What is an AED or defibrillation?
AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator. An AED is a portable, lightweight device that analyzes the heart’s rhythm, and if necessary, prompts the user to deliver a shock to the victim of sudden cardiac arrest. This shock, called defibrillation, helps the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm. AEDs are reliable, portable, durable, easy to use and maintain.

Do I need training to operate an AED?
Yes, both State and Federal laws require entities to have AED users trained in Adult CPR and the use of an AED.  The American Red Cross is nationally recognized provider of Adult CPR and AED training.  We have a 4.5 hour course that meets the minimum state requirements for having an AED at your location.
