Training
The newly revised Babysitter's Training is designed for 11 - 15 year
olds. The course is fun and fast-paced with
hands-on
activities, exciting video, role-plays and lively discussions. You'll learn to be the best babysitter on the block. Plus, you'll gain the confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation.
Length: 8 hours for core curriculum, 4 additional hours for Babysitter CPR and First Aid certification.

First Aid for Children Today (FACT)
The FACT Critter Clan leads kids through health promotions and injury prevention activities. A fun environmental theme teaches safety in a non-threatening way. Topics include hygiene and health habits, first aid, personal safety and injury prevention; includes participant's booklet. Grades K-3; Instructor training is not required to teach this course.Length: 10 - 14 hours based on activities.

Basic Aid Training (BAT)
Children learn emergency response skills, rescue breathing and ways to prevent and care for choking, wounds, nosebleeds, falls and animal bites. The course includes responses for safety, poisoning, water accidents, substance abuse and more; includes participant's book. Grades 3 - 5; Instructor training is not required to teach this course. Length: 6 - 12 hours based on activities.BAT Leader Kit: $8

Longfellow's WHALES Tales
An easy-to-follow lesson plan supports classroom water safety training for kids ages 5 - 12. Each session features an animated video plus activities, posters and worksheets. Grades K-5; Instructor training is not required to teach this course. Length: varies.Whales Tales Leader Kit: $15

Scrubby
Bear-Personal Hygiene
The Scrubby Bear presentation teaches children ages 4 to 7 years
old how germs are spread, how to prevent the spread of disease and to
properly wash their hands. Instructor traning is not required to teach
this program. Presentation outline is available free of charge.First Aid and Preparedness
Streamlined to fit into busy class schedules, these presentations provide students with basic lifesaving and emergency preparedness information. Students learn valuable skills that can be applied at school and at home with their families.First Aid and Preparedness Leader Guides are available through the Red Cross office.
Any staff member with a current First Aid and CPR certification can lead this interactive presentation in your school, so it's easy to offer sessions at convenient times. Choose the presentation that best meets your school's needs:

Masters of Disaster®
The award-winning Masters of Disaster® disaster preparedness curriculum teaches children how to prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters and other emergencies. This program is available in customized formats for both families and educators.The Masters of Disaster® series is an educational tool that will teach youth the importance of preparedness while reducing fear of the unexpected. The goal is to create a culture of preparedness among youth today—one where readiness is top of mind everywhere we live, learn and work.
